How about neither? How about a meh? I tried out the Revlon drying brush and it has it’s great aspects, but it’s not the game-changer I was looking for. I was really looking for a tool that would dry my hair and give it volume without me having to use a styling tool on the days I wash my hair. That was not the case.

I have thick, dry, coarse hair that is damaged from color and styling. After using this drying brush it still had that big frizz feel that needed to be tamed. So it didn’t do what I wanted it too. I also struggled to dry my roots and hair at the scalp. You can check out a review on Facebook.

The second time I used it, I ended up using my regular hair dryer to dry my roots. I also have some pain in my wrist occasionally from a fall from a ladder two years ago (long story) and this brush made it worse. The handle is rather large compared to a regular hairdryer.

In the end, if you don’t have damaged hair and you can typically dry and go, try this brush to give it volume. If you do use a round brush and a dryer, then use this to make your life simpler. However, if you are like me and hoping for sleek hair after drying, then maybe just stick with your normal routine.

This product is available from Walmart.
